Teenage Volunteers

This program is designed for female and male teenagers who are organized and supported by EAMC Auxiliary. Teenagers are recruited from at least seven area private and public high schools and several home school associations throughout the county. The program is unique in that it operates during the school year and not during the summer months. The majority of TAVs volunteer throughout their high school years. TAVs are utilized in many different areas for EAMC. The program is constantly evolving. Service areas that are now being served include: Cardiac Rehab, Nutrition and Food Services, Employee Health, Flower Delivery, Gift Shop, Human Resources, ICU Waiting, Mother’s Nook (Baby Gift Shop), RehabWorks, Renal, Wound Treatment, Foundation, and numerous waiting rooms. TAVs are expected to adhere to the EAMC mission of “High-quality, compassionate health care.”

Applications are posted at the Information Desk inside the main lobby of the hospital and are shared with counselors at various schools. You may also select and print the application from the page. Please view the link to learn more about the requirements and selection of TAVs.
