Dr. Cobb is a former financial planner with IDS Financial Services, Inc. He views his membership on the EAMC Foundation board as a means to give back to the community. In addition to his work with IDS, Dr. Cobb has also served as a Chaplain at EAMC.

Dr. Cobb holds his doctoral degree from Emory University in divinity. His wife, Patricia, is a retired entomologist with the Alabama Cooperative Extension Service.
