Mrs. Denson is an Opelika resident who “considers it an honor to serve on the Foundation Board,” because of the “great feeling she gets from being able to identify needs and assist in providing the services needed to make our communities a healthier and better place to live.”

Mrs. Denson recently retired as part owner of Southern Crossing gift shop in Opelika. She also serves on the Opelika Chamber of Commerce board and is a past member of the Opelika Historic Preservation board.

Mrs. Denson, a Florence native, graduated from the University of North Alabama with a degree in Business Education. She is married to Lee County Circuit Judge John V. Denson, who was a charter member of the Foundation Board. They have two children and three grandsons.
