Dr. Russell became a board member after chairing the committee which raised funds for the Cancer Center. Having worked with EAMC for many years, he believes in the mission of the Foundation and works to promote its beneficial services to the community.

Dr. Russell is a graduate of UAB School of Medicine. He served in the US Air Force. In 1965, he and his wife, Jane, and their daughter moved to Opelika.

Dr. Russell is currently on the medical staff at Lee Obstetrics and Gynecology.
